Peshawar: A delegation of the Culture Journalists Forum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, led by its President Ehtesham Toru, visited the PTV Peshawar Center and met with General Manager Ibrahim Kamal. The delegation included Vice President Amjad Ali Khadim and Finance Secretary Amjad Hadi Yousafzai.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail, with a particular focus on the promotion of the culture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, welfare of local artists, and the positive role of the media.
On this occasion, General Manager Ibrahim Kamal said that the services of the Culture Journalists Forum are commendable, adding that the forum has always played a significant role in promoting Pashtun culture. He also assured the delegation of full cooperation.
Forum President Ehtesham Toru said that engaging all serious stakeholders for the promotion of culture is a pressing need of the time, and reaffirmed full cooperation with PTV Peshawar.
Meanwhile, in a meeting of the Culture Journalists Forum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chaired by Ehtesham Toru, it was decided to soon hold meetings with heads of various institutions to ensure effective measures for the promotion of cultural activities in the province.
It was also agreed to organize a dialogue session in Peshawar, in which various stakeholders will be invited so that comprehensive recommendations can be formulated in light of their suggestions.
The participants expressed concern that culture is often limited only to music and acting, whereas in reality it is a broad field encompassing language, literature, traditions, and ways of life, which requires more serious attention.
