Dera Ismail Khan: On the directives of Superintending Engineer Dera Circle, Engineer Hizbullah Khan Mehsud, a comprehensive campaign against electricity theft has been launched under the supervision of Executive Engineer City Division Imran Khan Gandapur and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) City II Sub-Division Muhammad Ali.
A major operation was carried out near Mohalla Laghari Wala and Madrasa Alauddin under the supervision of Feeder Incharge Mudassar Ahmed. During the drive, strict action was taken against individuals involved in illegal electricity connections, and several direct connections were disconnected and removed on the spot.
The operation also revealed multiple methods of electricity theft being used in the area. SDO City II Muhammad Ali stated that electricity theft will not be tolerated under any circumstances and warned that strict legal action will be taken against those involved.
He further added that the identification process of the culprits is ongoing, and after verification, cases will be registered by sending formal requests to the concerned police stations. He emphasized that such operations will continue in the future to ensure effective prevention of electricity theft.
