ISLAMABAD: The three-day Gerry’s Diplomatic Cricket Tournament Season 2 concluded in Islamabad with great enthusiasm, bringing together diplomats, international organizations, corporate teams, media representatives, and government departments in a celebration of sportsmanship and unity.
Organized by Mubasher Sanjrani, CEO of Sanjrani Oxens Enterprises, the tournament featured 10 competitive teams, including Spanish La Roja, UNICEF Lions, UNHCR, Diplo Team, ICCI, Gerry’s Strikers, MOFA XI, MOFA Lions, Media Shaheen, and Excise Islamabad Warriors. Throughout the event, players displayed exceptional cricketing talent, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
The grand finale witnessed an exciting clash between ICCI Team and MOFA Lions Team, where ICCI emerged victorious to lift the championship trophy. The final match attracted a large audience and added excitement to the closing ceremony.
President ICCI, Sardar Tariq Mehmood, was the chief guest. Ambassadors from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Lebnon, DHM of Romania and diplomats, sports journalists, ICCI members, and distinguished guests also participated in the ceremony.
The tournament was spearheaded by title sponsor Gerry’s, while HabibMetro Bank supported the event as silver sponsor. The event highlighted friendship, cultural harmony, and international collaboration through sports.
