Talent & ETA Scholarships Announced for Ecole Fatima Al-Fehri Students

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Education Faisal Khan Tarakai has stated that the current provincial government is prioritizing girls education. He announced that students at Ecole Fatima Al-Fehri School and College will be awarded talent-based scholarships and ETA scholarships, and will be provided with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Minister directed the education authorities to prepare a proposal for the solarization of the college and to take steps to resolve transportation issues. He gave these instructions while presiding over the Board of Governors meeting of Ecole Fatima Al-Fehri School and College.

The meeting was attended by Special Secretary Education Abdul Basit, Additional Secretary Neelum Khattak, Section Officer Autonomous Bodies Qamar Abbas Bangash, and other members of the Board.

The Minister for Education directed the education authorities to convene a Finance Committee meeting within a week and present it to the Board after approval. He stated that there will be no increase in fee.

The Board approved the formation of an Investment Committee to review the institution’s financial stability and submit recommendations within a week. The Board also approved the commencement of FA and FSc classes in the institution.

The Minister for Education directed that Model Schools and Colleges should benefit from each other’s experiences and hold joint meetings at least twice a year. He announced that he will visit Ecole Fatima Al-Fehri School and Girls College Mardan next month to review the facilities and performance.

The Minister directed the education authorities to increase the salaries of the institution’s employees to a minimum wage, develop indicators for performance evaluation, and extend contract periods based on performance.

He also directed that awareness campaigns be conducted to promote the institution and provide information about its facilities and programs to the public, especially through social and digital media.
