CHITRAL: Corps Commander Peshawar participated in a Grand Jirga held in Chitral, which was attended by local elders, religious scholars, and senior military and civil officers.
During the jirga, participants held detailed discussions on the overall law and order situation and other issues concerning the region.
The Corps Commander appreciated the constructive role played by local elders, scholars, and youth in maintaining peace and promoting social harmony in the area.

Participants of the jirga acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistan Army and security agencies in ensuring peace and stability and supporting the ongoing development process. They also expressed their resolve to continue extending full cooperation for the progress and prosperity of the region.
