Consensus Reached on Joint Strategy to Combat Drugs

RAWALPINDI: Bahrain’s Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, accompanied by a ten-member high-level delegation, visited the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters. Director General ANF, Major General Abdul Moeed, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), welcomed the distinguished guests along with senior staff officers. Federal Secretary Interior Captain (Retd.) Khurram Agha and IG Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi were also present.
The Director General ANF briefed the Bahraini Interior Minister on operational achievements in narcotics control, training initiatives, and demand reduction programs. He highlighted that despite limited resources and a small workforce, ANF has been playing an effective role both nationally and internationally against drug trafficking.

Lieutenant General Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa appreciated ANF’s professionalism and reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in combating narcotics. He praised ANF’s initiatives among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and assured full cooperation in enhancing joint efforts in the future.
The Bahraini Interior Minister further emphasized the importance of Bahrain-Pakistan relations and expressed keen interest in advancing cooperation in training and drug control.
