Pakistan Showcases Made-in-Sialkot Footballs at FIFA World Cup 2026

VANCOUVER: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Vancouver organized a special event during the FIFA World Cup 2026 to highlight Pakistan’s contribution to the world’s most popular sport through the internationally renowned sporting goods industry of Sialkot.

The event brought together distinguished guests, including Members of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Amna Shah and Garry Begg, President of the Pakistan Football Federation Syed Mohsen Gilani, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Consul General of Argentina Ricardo Arredondo, Consul General of Brazil Nestor José Forster Junior, Consul General of Türkiye Cenk Ünal, and members of the diplomatic and Pakistani communities.

On the occasion, the Consulate General presented a Made-in-Pakistan football, symbolizing the exceptional craftsmanship and global reputation of Pakistan’s football manufacturing industry. The event reflected the pride of Pakistanis around the world as the FIFA World Cup 2026 is being jointly hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Speaking at the event, the Consul General emphasized that Pakistan-made footballs represent not only the skill and dedication of Pakistani workers but also convey a message of friendship, cooperation and shared humanity.

He noted that the FIFA World Cup provides an important platform to promote Pakistan’s exports and showcase the country’s industrial excellence while strengthening people-to-people ties and diplomatic relations with Canada and the broader international community.

The Consul General further highlighted Pakistan’s position as one of the world’s leading producers of high-quality sporting goods and underscored the role of sports diplomacy in fostering goodwill, mutual understanding and international cooperation.
