PESHAWAR: The second day of the three-day cultural festival “Buner Gul Da Namair 2026,” organized by Difectorate General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in District Buner, featured a wide range of exciting sports competitions.
Events included hockey, cricket, football, tug of war, Mukha (traditional archery), kabaddi, and martial arts, where athletes displayed remarkable talent, skill, and sportsmanship.
Special sports activities for persons with disabilities, including a wheelchair race and other competitions, were also organized, reflecting the festival’s commitment to inclusivity.

The second day also featured colorful cultural programs wherein, former Tehsil Nazim Syed Salar Jehan attended as the chief guest. Among the distinguished participants were Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Qaiser Kundi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning) Ms. Farangis Azim, former Tehsil Nazim Haji Sharif Khan, along with a large number of local residents, youth, and athletes from Buner.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed captivating magic performances and live musical entertainment throughout the evening.
The day’s celebrations concluded with an energetic performance by the Jwand Band, which received an enthusiastic response from young people and children alike.
