ISLAMABAD: Ms. Qurat ul Ain Ali Khawaja, a distinguished PhD scholar and founder of the advocacy initiative Let Kashmir Decide, has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the All Pakistan Media Council (Registered).
The announcement follows the conclusion of the Council’s official electoral process, during which Ms. Khawaja emerged as the unanimous choice a decision hailed by relevant quarters as a strong endorsement of her intellectual depth, leadership acumen, and longstanding commitment to media integrity and public discourse.
Ms. Khawaja is also the recipient of the Pride of Pakistan Award 2025, further cementing her reputation as a prominent voice in academic and socio-political circles. Her election is seen as a progressive step for the Council, as it navigates pressing media challenges in an evolving national and global landscape.
