RABAT: King Mohammed VI of Morocco has sent a congratulatory message to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of the United States’ Independence Day and the country’s 250th anniversary of independence.
In his message, the King highlighted the longstanding friendship between Morocco and the United States, recalling that Morocco was the first country to recognize American independence, laying the foundation for one of the world’s oldest diplomatic relationships.
King Mohammed VI also praised the strong bilateral ties between the two countries, noting President Trump’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara as a significant milestone in the relationship.
The Moroccan monarch expressed confidence that cooperation between Morocco and the United States would continue to expand across key sectors, including trade, security and other areas of mutual interest, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
