ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid and Secretary BISP Aamir Ali Ahmed chaired an important meeting at BISP Headquarters today to review progress on developing a modernized system for cash distribution to beneficiaries. The initiative aims to ensure that millions of beneficiaries across the country receive financial assistance through a safe, transparent, and user-friendly process.
The meeting was attended by Chief Commercial Officer One Link Muhammad Bashir Khan, representatives from the Karandaaz team, Additional Secretary BISP, and all Director Generals. Participants discussed a technology-based payment mechanism designed to give beneficiaries greater freedom of choice in accessing financial assistance with minimal human intervention, while preserving their dignity.
On the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid stated that, in line with the directives of the President of Pakistan and the vision of the Prime Minister, BISP remains committed to adopting a modern and transparent payment system that provides timely, convenient, and dignified facilities to beneficiaries.
Secretary Aamir Ali Ahmed highlighted the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders, particularly banking partners, and stressed that actionable recommendations will be crucial for the smooth implementation of the new system. He further emphasized that technology is essential in ensuring transparency in payments.
BISP leadership reaffirmed its resolve to work closely with partners to make the cash transfer process more efficient, transparent, and dignified, ensuring that financial assistance reaches all beneficiaries in a secure and accessible manner.
