PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan held a meeting with a delegation of the Artists’ Action Committee to discuss the promotion of arts and culture, the Artists Endowment Fund and issues related to the welfare of the artistic community.
During the meeting, the delegation presented various proposals aimed at strengthening the province’s cultural and artistic landscape. Shafi Jan said artists are the true ambassadors of a society’s culture, heritage and positive identity, adding that they preserve the nation’s history and traditions for future generations through their work.
The minister assured the delegation that the provincial government would extend full support in resolving the issues faced by artists and reiterated that the promotion of arts, culture and literary heritage remains among the government’s priorities.
He further announced that a meeting with the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Culture and relevant officials would soon be convened to review the proposals and ensure practical progress. The delegation thanked the minister for his assurance of support and commitment to addressing their concerns.
