PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances, accelerating development projects and improving the delivery of basic services across the province.
He said the government is making every possible effort to promote balanced development, particularly in underdeveloped areas, with special focus on the comprehensive development of PK-26 Buner.
He expressed these views while meeting public delegations, local elders and residents during a Public Day held at his hujra in PK-26 Buner.
Delegations from various parts of the constituency apprised the provincial minister of issues relating to ongoing and proposed development schemes, road infrastructure, education, healthcare, drinking water supply, electricity and other civic facilities.
The minister listened to the public issues in detail and issued on-the-spot directives to the relevant departments for their prompt resolution.
Syed Fakhar Jehan said that maintaining regular contact with the public, personally reviewing their concerns and ensuring timely administrative action are essential elements of an effective public service delivery system.
He added that all available resources would be utilised to ensure the overall development of PK-26 Buner and improve essential public services for its residents.
The minister further said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial government is pursuing a policy of inclusive and balanced development across all regions of the province.
He emphasised that providing equal relief to citizens and ensuring the transparent utilisation of public resources remain among the government’s foremost priorities.
Referring to the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Founder Imran Khan, Syed Fakhar Jehan said the provincial government is working to promote transparent governance, the rule of law, quality public service and a people-centric administrative system through practical measures aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and expediting the implementation of development initiatives.
He added that the objective of the Public Day initiative is to strengthen direct engagement between elected representatives and the public, enabling citizens’ concerns to be heard at their doorstep and resolved without unnecessary delay.
