MANILA: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday on the sidelines of the ASEAN Ministerial Meetings in Manila.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and collaboration to address shared challenges.
The discussion included cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and other multilateral forums, where both countries reaffirmed their commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and constructive international engagement.
The meeting reflected the growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Russia and underscored their shared interest in enhancing bilateral ties as well as coordination on regional and global issues.
