DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A three-day free medical and surgical camp organized by Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital concluded successfully in Mandhra village of Dera Ismail Khan, made possible through the special efforts of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi.
Held in collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (KP), the camp provided free medical services to around 2,700 patients, including approximately 1,200 men, 1,100 women and 500 children.
A 45-member medical team from Al-Shifa Eye Trust, supported by a state-of-the-art mobile hospital, performed more than 350 surgeries on-site. The camp also featured a team of female ophthalmologists to provide specialized eye care services.
More than 1,800 patients received free medicines, while nearly 1,200 patients were provided free spectacles.
Patients expressed gratitude to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and the Al-Shifa Eye Trust management for bringing quality healthcare services to the area.
Secretary Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Paharpur District, Syed Ghazanfar Shah Bukhari, appreciated Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, MPA Ahmad Kundi and the Al-Shifa Eye Trust administration for their efforts, expressing hope that such humanitarian services would continue in the future.
