In a statement, Central President of the Tribal Union of Journalists, Hasbanullah, said that Abozar Afridi has dedicated his journalistic career to truth, integrity, adherence to professional ethics, and highlighting public issues. However, certain elements are allegedly using social media to damage his reputation. The Tribal Union of Journalists made it clear that while the right to dissent and express disagreement is a constitutional right of every individual, character assassination, false allegations, and organized online campaigns are completely unacceptable.

They termed the alleged campaign against him a matter of serious concern for press freedom and the dignity of journalists. They called upon law-enforcement agencies and relevant cybercrime authorities to conduct a transparent investigation into the matter and, if any individual or group is found to have violated the law, take legal action against those responsible without discrimination.
They warned that if the alleged campaign of character assassination and harassment is not stopped immediately, the Tribal Union of Journalists will exercise its constitutional and legal rights and approach the relevant forums. The organization also reaffirmed its commitment to taking every lawful and constitutional step to protect the dignity of journalists, freedom of expression, and the professional rights of the journalist community.
