SWAT: Four suspected militants were killed and several others injured during a joint operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in the Matta area of Swat, according to official information.
Police said security forces secured a key strategic position in Rashid Sar during the operation. An Elite Force constable, Gulfam, was killed while fighting the militants.
Officials said the operation was continuing, with reports that some militants had taken shelter inside a house and were allegedly using civilians as human shields. Security forces said operations against the militant group would continue until the threat is eliminated.
