Dera Ismail Khan: The Allied Faculty at Gomal University has remained closed for the third consecutive day, as students continue their sit-in protest over academic issues and lack of basic facilities.
According to details, students have pitched a protest camp in front of the faculty, demanding urgent resolution of their problems. They expressed concern that neither a dedicated hospital for clinical training nor a separate building has been provided, severely affecting both their education and practical training.
The students emphasized that their protest is peaceful. However, they alleged that the university administration is attempting to portray the movement as “anti-state” in order to discredit their demands. They further stated that the same individuals responsible for past administrative mismanagement remain in charge and are once again using fear-based tactics to malign students.
The protesters urged higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation, initiate a transparent inquiry, and hold accountable those involved in corruption and negligence. They warned that if their legitimate demands are not met, the scope of the protest will be broadened.
