PESHAWAR : A two-day special photo exhibition, “Pakistan’s Story Through Pictures,” was held at the Nishtar Hall lobby in Peshawar on the occasion of Independence Day. Organized by the Abaseen Arts Council, the exhibition featured more than 100 rare photographs depicting Pakistan’s history, the freedom movement, the political struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and key moments surrounding the creation of Pakistan.
Director Culture Syed Muhammad Ali formally inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Abaseen Arts Council President Prof. Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan Khattak, Honorary Secretary Jahanzeb Malik, and prominent figures from the fields of art, literature and culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan Khattak said the exhibition aimed to connect the younger generation with Pakistan’s history and national heritage through visual storytelling.
Syed Muhammad Ali praised the initiative, describing the rare photographs as a valuable national heritage. He said such exhibitions help promote historical awareness and patriotism among young people and announced that efforts would be made to take the exhibition to other cities as well.
The exhibition, open from 10am to 5pm, attracted students, teachers, artists and citizens, who appreciated the rare photographs of Quaid-e-Azam, the Pakistan Movement and the early days of independence.
