BISHKEK: The 6th World Nomad Games 2026 have begun in Kyrgyzstan, with Pakistan participating in the international event being held from August 31 to September 6.
KP Sports and Youth Affairs Adviser Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand attended the opening ceremony and presented a traditional Chitrali Pakol to World Nomad Games founder Askat Akimbayev, highlighting the cultural heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Tarand said the games promote traditional sports, friendship and cultural ties among nations. Pakistani athletes are participating in various traditional events, including wrestling, archery and other indigenous sports.
