Youth Workshop in Peshawar Explores China Market Opportunities, E-Commerce

PESHAWAR : Human Care Foundation, in collaboration with District Youth Affairs Peshawar and China Window Peshawar, organised a one-day interactive workshop titled “From Ideas to Impact: Connecting Peshawar’s Youth with China’s Market” at China Window Peshawar, bringing together students, young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore emerging opportunities in e-commerce, entrepreneurship and Pakistan-China economic cooperation.

The workshop focused on equipping young people with practical knowledge about e-commerce, market access, entrepreneurship and the growing potential of business opportunities linked to China’s market.

Engr. Shahab Hadi, a seasoned e-commerce professional, conducted an engaging and practical session, sharing his experience and valuable insights with participants. He also highlighted the importance of understanding changing market trends, developing entrepreneurial skills and making effective use of digital platforms.

Ms. Naz Parveen, Director China Window Peshawar, attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Fawad Ahmad, CEO of Human Care Foundation, was the Guest of Honour. Both speakers addressed the participants and emphasised the need to equip young people with market-oriented skills, entrepreneurial thinking and exposure to emerging economic opportunities.

A major highlight of the event was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Human Care Foundation and China Window Peshawar. The agreement marked the beginning of strengthened institutional collaboration aimed at creating meaningful opportunities for youth through joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, cultural engagement and capacity-building activities.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates among participants and shields of honour to distinguished guests in recognition of their participation and support.

Following the ceremony, participants were given a guided tour of China Window Peshawar, where they explored various displays showcasing Chinese culture, history, development and the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China.

The event provided a valuable platform for young people to connect ideas with practical opportunities while promoting entrepreneurship, skills development and stronger people-to-people and institutional ties between Pakistan and China.

From ideas to opportunities, and from opportunities to impact, the workshop marked another step towards empowering Peshawar’s youth for a changing global market.
