PESHAWAR: Vice Chancellor UET Mardan Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan and his team held a meeting with PESCO CEO Engineer Akhtar Hameed and senior officials to explore collaboration for modernizing and strengthening power distribution systems.
The meeting focused on AI and AIoT-based solutions, smart metering, transformer monitoring, reduction of distribution losses, power quality and data-driven grid management.
The UET Mardan team also visited Nishtarabad Sub-Division and the New City Home Feeder to observe field requirements and operational challenges and identify areas for future research and technological interventions.
The meeting provided a platform to explore institutional collaboration between UET Mardan and PESCO to develop innovative solutions for efficient and reliable electricity distribution.
UET Mardan reaffirmed its commitment to linking academic expertise and research with real-world challenges in the power sector.
