PESHAWAR: A 42-kilometre cycling race was organized in Peshawar by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association to mark Pakistan Defence Day, with cyclists from across the province participating.
The race started at 8am from Motorway Chowk on Northern Bypass Road. SSGC’s Yousaf won the race after completing the 42-kilometre distance in 1 hour, 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
Army’s Zeeshan secured second position, while SSGC’s Farman M stood third.
President Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah inaugurated the race. MNA Asif Khan distributed trophies, medals and certificates among the winning cyclists.
The organizers welcomed the event as a positive step towards promoting cycling and providing competitive opportunities to cyclists across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
