Shafqat Ayaz congratulates new KP Cabinet on assuming charge

STAFF REPORTER PESHAWAR: Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science, Technology, and Information Technology, said that in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), being appointed as a Minister or entrusted with any portfolio is not a matter of personal joy, but rather a great responsibility. He emphasized that in PTI, the purpose of becoming a Minister or an Advisor is not to seek personal privileges or luxuries, but to pledge oneself to public service in line with the vision of PTI’s founding Chairman, Imran Khan, and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur. Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said that the mission of PTI is to build the Pakistan that Allama Muhammad Iqbal had envisioned. That is why every Minister, Advisor, and Special Assistant in PTI is directly answerable to its workers and to the people. If anyone assumes that attaining a ministerial position is an opportunity for corruption or personal gain, then that is not PTI, but rather the legacy of the old political parties—Muslim League-N and PPP—where ministries were considered gateways to corruption and loot. He further stated that PTI’s greatest hallmark is transparency, merit, and public service. Therefore, every new member of the cabinet must remember that their portfolio is a public trust. Imran Khan and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have always emphasized that Pakistan’s progress lies in the strengthening of institutions and adherence to merit. Dr. Shafqat Ayaz highlighted that it is the responsibility of the new Ministers and Special Assistants to take the party’s vision to every household and leave no stone unturned in public service. He added that the eyes of the people are upon this new cabinet, and it is our collective duty to live up to this trust. He expressed confidence that, Insha’Allah, under the vision of PTI’s founding Chairman Imran Khan and the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, this new team will usher the province into a new era of development, prosperity, transparency, and justice.
