ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi awarded nurse Raziya Noreen a cash prize of Rs100,000 and a special shield for saving a newborn during the PIMS nursery fire incident.
At a ceremony in Islamabad, minority leader Samuel Pyare and PIMS Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Shazia also accompanied the governor.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kundi said compassion for humanity was the hallmark of the nursing profession. He paid tribute to Nurse Raziya Noreen for her courage and said the entire Pakistani nation appreciated her exemplary role.
