First Aid Training Workshop Held for Tourism Police and Journalists in Nathia Gali -

Practical training provided to ensure timely emergency response, tourist safety and protection of human lives

NATHIA GALI : On the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and Special Assistant Malik Adil Iqbal, a first aid training workshop was organized in Nathia Gali through a joint collaboration between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and the Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The workshop was attended by personnel of the Tourism Police, media officers of the KP Culture and Tourism Authority, and journalists affiliated with the Peshawar Press Club.

The objective of the workshop was to equip participants with essential knowledge, training and practical skills to provide immediate and effective first aid during emergencies. The initiative aimed to ensure that injured or affected individuals receive timely initial medical assistance in the event of accidents or other emergencies, helping to protect precious human lives.

During the training session, participants were provided practical instruction on dealing with various emergency situations, administering first aid, conducting an immediate assessment of patients, safely transporting injured persons and handling other important technical aspects of emergency response.

Deputy Director First Aid Programme of Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sajid Ali Khan, conducted the training and also demonstrated practical first aid procedures for dealing with different emergency situations.

Assistant Director Marketing and Media of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority Saad bin Owais, Assistant Director Galiyat Development Authority Ahsan Hameed, General Secretary Peshawar Press Club Alamgir Khan, Saif-ul-Islam Saifi, other senior journalists and personnel of the Tourism Police also participated in the workshop.

The participants described the first aid training workshop as an important and useful initiative for ensuring the safety of tourists and providing immediate assistance during emergencies. They emphasized that providing first aid training to personnel working at tourist destinations, as well as members of the media, is essential for ensuring an effective response to unforeseen situations.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants appreciated the Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority for organizing the valuable training, expressing the hope that such practical initiatives would contribute to creating a safer and more responsible environment at tourist destinations across the province.
