JHELUM: The District Administration Jhelum and Beaconhouse School System have signed an MoU to plant 100,000 saplings across the district under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Green Punjab” vision and the “Green Jhelum, Green Punjab” programme of Deputy Commissioner Mir Raza Ozgun.
The MoU was signed by Deputy Commissioner Mir Raza Ozgun and Director Systems and Audit Muhammad Amir Afzal Rana at the Deputy Commissioner Office Jhelum. Officials of the administration and Beaconhouse School System were also present.
The initiative aims to increase green areas, reduce pollution and promote a clean and healthy environment. Students and citizens will actively participate in plantation, while special attention will be given to the protection and care of the saplings.
