ISLAMABAD: The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan celebrated the successful completion of its “STEAM Builder” program at Lincoln Corner Islamabad, recognizing more than 100 participants and trainers who received training in 3D printing, coding and digital modeling.
The closing ceremony brought together participants from six Lincoln Corners across Pakistan, highlighting the nationwide reach of the skills-building initiative aimed at promoting technology, creativity and innovation.
Implemented in collaboration with Pakistani technology firm AzCorps, the STEAM Builder program provided participants with hands-on experience in advanced digital tools and technologies, helping equip young Pakistani innovators with skills relevant to the rapidly evolving digital economy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy David Moyer said STEAM Builder was more than a training program, describing Lincoln Corners as hubs of technology, creativity and opportunity where Pakistan’s emerging STEAM talent could gain skills and tools inspired by American technology and educational models.
As part of the U.S. Embassy’s Freedom 250 initiative, participants also unveiled two 3D-printed creations — a Liberty Bell and a map of the United States. Both items will be permanently displayed at Lincoln Corner Islamabad, located at the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The Lincoln Corners network currently comprises 15 locations across Pakistan. The network plans to expand its STEAM-focused activities in 2027, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of U.S.-Pakistan bilateral relations.
