PESHAWAR: In a bold move to demand justice and accountability, the Secretariat Coordination Council has declared a peaceful protest against unconstitutional actions, the imposition of the controversial 3-MPO, and the illegal transfer of PMS 3% quota under the previous government. The council has also called for immediate action from the government, urging the restoration of rights for affected employees who endured significant losses during the previous administration.
The council emphasized that its members had raised their voices against the oppressive measures of the past government, which led to illegal detentions, torture in prisons, and violations of their fundamental rights. “We sacrificed our health, freedom, and dignity so that the employees of today and tomorrow could receive their legal rights,” said a council representative.
The council’s demands are clear and urgent:
A high-level judicial inquiry into the unconstitutional enforcement of 3-MPO, arrests, and the abuses that occurred in prisons.
Immediate enforcement of the written agreements made in prison, ensuring justice for the affected individuals.
Restoration of the PMS 3% quota and immediate allocation of rightful shares to those deserving of it.
Compensation for the medical, psychological, and financial losses suffered by the affected employees due to these injustices.
Strict action against former officials and personnel who were complicit in enforcing illegal orders or engaged in nepotism.
The council further warned that should these demands go unmet, they would seek judicial intervention and approach both national and international human rights organizations for support.
“We endured these sacrifices so that employees could be granted their rightful entitlements. This right is not just ours but belongs to all future generations,” the council said, reaffirming its commitment to the peaceful protest.
The protest, according to the council, is not only aimed at seeking personal redress but is a fight to secure the collective rights of all employees, ensuring that justice and fairness prevail.
“Sacrifice Demanded: Restore Our Rights!”
“Punish Those Who Imposed Unconstitutional 3-MPO — Justice Now!”
“The Quota is Ours, the Right is Ours!”
“We Sacrificed Health and Life, Give Us Justice!”
“Peaceful Protest — Protect Our Constitutional Right!”
The Secretariat Coordination Council vows to continue its peaceful struggle until the rights of the employees are fully restored, ensuring that future generations do not suffer the same fate.
