Awareness Campaign on Explosive Remnants of War Held in Dir under FCKP North

Dir: An awareness campaign on protection from explosive remnants of war and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was organized at Government High School Shahi, Lower Dir, under the auspices of FCKP North in collaboration with the District Administration and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

The campaign aimed to educate the public about the dangers posed by explosive remnants and IEDs. Experts delivered detailed briefings on identifying explosive materials, recognizing warning signs, and adopting preventive safety measures.

A large number of students, local elders, and community members participated in the event, reflecting the growing public awareness and interest in safety initiatives. Information pamphlets were distributed among participants to ensure wider dissemination of safety guidelines.

Special training was provided to children, emphasizing the importance of avoiding suspicious objects and immediately alerting adults or authorities.

Participants highly appreciated the awareness initiative and expressed full support and cooperation with the Pakistan Army in promoting peace and security in the region.

Local elders noted that such awareness campaigns not only help protect lives but also play a vital role in building a safe and peaceful society.
