PESHAWAR: KP Culture and Tourism Authority and Cultural Center “Mafkoora” Sign Memorandum of Understanding.
Peshawar (Press Release): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and Cultural Center Mafkoora have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote cultural activities, art, heritage, literature, and theatre across the province.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Director General KPCTA Mr. Habib Ullah Arif said that the Culture and Tourism Authority is taking steps on a priority basis for the promotion of culture and the welfare of artisans. He added that the MoU will serve as a foundation for strengthening cultural cooperation and organizing joint events that highlight the province’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
The ceremony was attended by Director Admin Mr. Omer Arshid Khan, Director Tourism Mr. Muhammad Ali Syed, Deputy Director Culture and Events Ms. Sanam Bashir, Mafkoora’s Creative Director Hayat Roghani, President Salman Mian, and other.
According to the agreement, KPCTA and Mafkoora will jointly organize cultural programs, art exhibitions, literary gatherings, and theatre performances in Peshawar and other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to promote art and revive cultural heritage.
DG KPCTA Mr. Habib Ullah Arif further stated that the Authority has already taken several initiatives for the welfare of artists, including the distribution of honoraria among them and the revival of Nishtar Hall for cultural programs. “At present, a large number of cultural activities are being organized regularly at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar,” he noted.
