Mardan: Women University Mardan (WUM) successfully conducted a series of Cascading Training Sessions on STEM Faculty Development under the Pak–UK Education Gateway Project, a collaborative initiative of the British Council Pakistan and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Held under the patronage of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, the training aimed to strengthen teaching excellence, promote innovation, and enhance the professional capacity of STEM faculty. The sessions were led by Dr. Monazza Serwar (Department of Chemistry) and Dr. Rakhshinda Sadiq (Department of Biotechnology).
Faculty members from Women University Mardan and its affiliated colleges actively participated in the sessions, which focused on innovative pedagogical practices, AI-integrated curriculum design, and assessment strategies aligned with global STEM education standards.
In the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants and organizers. The Honorable Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the organizers and trainers for their commitment to advancing faculty competencies, gender equity, and research-driven teaching in STEM education. She emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation at the University.
