Today, the world is facing many challenges including wars, regional tensions, and rising inequality. In such times, it is very important for parliaments and their leaders to play a strong role in promoting peace, understanding, and development. Through dialogue and cooperation, countries can solve conflicts and move toward a better and more peaceful future.
Under the visionary leadership of Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Founding Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC) and Chairman Senate of Pakistan, this historic conference was constituted in Seoul, South Korea, in April 2025 while its inaugural session is in progress in Islamabad from 10–12 November 2025. The conference has quickly become a strong platform for promoting peace and cooperation among nations. Gilani’s vision is to bring together parliamentary leaders from across the world to share ideas and build mutual understanding. He believes that peace and development always go hand in hand — one cannot exist without the other.
The Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC) gathers speakers and representatives from various countries to exchange experiences and discuss global issues. It helps strengthen trust, friendship, and cooperation among nations. The conference proves that dialogue and teamwork are the most effective ways to overcome global challenges. It encourages countries to listen to one another and find common ground for the benefit of all people.
In this mission, Pakistan is playing an important role as an emerging power in world politics. With its growing economy, young population, and strategic location; Pakistan serves as a bridge between South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The country strongly believes in resolving issues through peaceful dialogue and fair diplomacy. Pakistan’s active participation in humanitarian efforts, climate change discussions, and peacebuilding initiatives further enhances its reputation as a responsible and forward-looking nation.
Under the leadership of Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Islamabad continues to promote unity, moderation, and respect among nations. The ISC reflects Pakistan’s deep commitment to creating a world based on cooperation, peace, and shared progress.
In short, the ISC founded in Seoul and being convened in Islamabad, is a true symbol of hope and harmony. It shows how countries can join hands to create lasting peace and prosperity.
