GADANI: Based on specific information provided by the Collector, Customs Enforcement Gadani, strict vigilance was maintained.
During the intensified inspection, a container-mounted vehicle said to contain cut tyres arrived at Kurkhera check post. However, upon detailed examination two large tyres were concealed inside.
Inside these tyres hashish was expertly hidden.
The tyres were off-loaded and subjected to a meticulous search, leading to the recovery of narcotics concealed inside them.
Details of Recovery:
Total packets recovered: 169
Total weight of hashish: 188 kg
Total assessed value: (including vehicle and seized narcotics): PKR 552.437 million
The individual accompanying the vehicle was immediately taken into custody.
The contraband, concealment material, and the vehicle were seized in accordance with the legal provisions. Further investigation is underway.
