The training camp for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa athletes preparing for the 35th National Games in Karachi concluded successfully. A contingent of 494 athletes and officials from the province will depart for Karachi today to participate in the mega sporting event.
The Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized a 14-day intensive training camp, during which athletes were provided daily allowances, boarding and lodging, modern training facilities, and an overall conducive sports environment. Players from various disciplines trained with dedication and commitment throughout the camp.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will compete in 32 different sports at the National Games.
Speaking at the conclusion of the camp, Chief de Mission and Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tashfeen Haider, said The National Games are the country’s biggest sporting event, and we are proud that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa contingent is entering the competition fully prepared.”
“The provincial government and the Directorate of Sports have ensured the best possible facilities for our athletes. We are confident that our players will deliver outstanding performances with hard work, discipline, and determination, and will return with a strong medal tally for the province.”
Tashfeen Haider also appreciated the efforts of the coaches and officials and expressed good wishes for all participating athletes.
