Prestigious TEDx Event Held at RMI

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Duraid Qureshi, Dr. Adil Haider, Adil Khattak among Distinguished Guests

Peshawar: Rehman Medical Institute, UBL Ameen as their platinum partner hosted a grand and impactful TEDxRMI event. The purpose of the event was to inspire young people with positive thinking, innovation, creativity, and the importance of practical efforts. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Duraid Qureshi, Dr. Adil Haider, Adil Khattak, Prof. Dr. Pervez Aamir Ali, Ahmed Uzair, and his wife Anum Uzair were among the prominent speakers who attended the event.

The speakers discussed a wide range of important and contemporary topics, including the significance of governance and public trust, global inequalities in wealth and power, the transformative role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, the impact of storytelling in shaping culture and national narrative, human-centered leadership, effective institution-building, and rising above fear and failure.

The speakers emphasized that the youth of Pakistan possess tremendous potential and that platforms like TEDx play a vital role in providing guidance, encouragement, and a positive direction.

Addressing the audience, RMI’s CEO Shafique ur Rehman said that when we talk about the future, we are essentially speaking about the Pakistan that is still possible to build. He noted that a Pakistan where healthcare, education, and modern technology work together to uplift entire communities is within reach. He added that the ideas shared on today’s stage are not mere dreams but are close to becoming reality.

At the end of the ceremony, Chairman RMI, Dr. Muhammad Rehman and Chairman TEDxRMI, Dr Umair Wadood presented honorary shields to all speakers.
