SHANGLA: Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam visited Shangla to review the areas affected by recent heavy rains and floods and met with the victims. On this occasion, he conveyed complete sympathy and assurance of cooperation on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the federal government. Engineer Amir Muqam said that both personally and on behalf of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he stands with the people of Shangla in this difficult time. Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property, he said that the people of Shangla have endured large-scale destruction; several villages in tehsils Puran and Alpuri have been completely cut off due to flood torrents and landslides. He explained that due to blocked roads leading to Shangla, he could not arrive immediately, but even today he had to take a long and difficult route to reach the victims. Engineer Amir Muqam criticized the performance of the provincial government and district administration, stating that even after three days, link roads and bridges could not be restored, which is clear evidence of incompetence.
