People believe in PML-N’s welfare policies rather than PTI: Amir Muqam

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam on Wednesday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) thumping victory in the Haripur bye-elections was proof that the people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become disappointed with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Addressing a press conference at the Kashmir Council here, the federal minister warmly welcomed the new members who joined PML-N including former provincial minister Syed Qalb-e-Hassan from Kohat and Khushdil Khan from Mansehra, who have their own reputation and respect in KP. He highlighted that Behramand Tangi played a key role in inducting new members into the party.
The PML-N KP President said that many people were leaving other previous parties and joining PML-N due to the trust on the federal government’s policies under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and supremo Nawaz Sharif.
Amir Muqam said that on behalf of his party and leadership, he congratulated the new members, adding that our politics was only revolving on public’s welfare and working as a team for the betterment and development of the province.
The people rejected the mischievous agenda by not participating in the Peshawar rally, he said and adding that PTI was ruling in the province for 12 years, but it did not deliver for KP’s welfare and uplift. KP masses had their own agenda it was a good thing that all the issues were being reversed. He said that in the Haripur elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, people gave a message that they cannot continue with the mischievous agenda anymore.
The federal minister highlighted that PTI’s Peshawar rally was a completely flopped show because people rejected its nefarious agenda, police officials were being martyred but PTI’s government do not realize it. “PTI has become the spokesman of TTP and pursuing the foreign agenda to defame the national institutions. In the current circumstances, there is no room for a state within a state.”
Amir Muqam emphasized that PTI was defaming the country which not acceptable under any circumstances and state would take its course against those people who were creating unrest and chaos. “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in a state of war and we cannot compromise on anarchy anymore and during PTI ongoing tenure, the province resources are being used for political purposes.”
The minister warned that instead of representing India and Afghanistan, every political party should represent Pakistan.
Amir Muqam said the PTI leaders told that the mandate was with us, but the mandate was with the betterment of the people, not for sitting outside the Adiala, our desire was to defeat the PTI through elections.
Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Murtaza Javed Abbasi highlighted that induction of new members in PML-N from KP was a significant milestone which would further strengthen the party in the province.
He further said that these newly jointed party leaders would contribute in the development and progress of the province as PTI provincial government was totally failed in deliver anything for the province.
