MALAKAND: Awareness Session on Islamic Banking held at University of Malakand
ORIC, in collaboration with the Youth Development Center (YDC) and NBP Aitemaad Islamic Banking (KP Region), successfully organized an Awareness Session on Islamic Banking to enhance students’ and faculty understanding of Islamic finance, Shariah-compliant banking practices, and career opportunities in the sector.
Mufti Nadir Khan, Team Leader Shariah Research, NBP Aitemaad Islamic Banking Group, delivered an insightful session on Pakistan’s transition from conventional to Islamic banking and highlighted key differences between the two systems.
Mr. Niamat Ullah Khan, Deputy Chief Manager, SBP BSC Peshawar, spoke about the State Bank’s initiatives toward the digitization of banking services and business processes to reduce manual transactions and promote financial innovation.
The session was also attended by Mr. Muhammad Yasir (Regional Executive HR & Support Services, Aitemaad Islamic Banking Group, KP Region) and Mr. Arshad Jan (Senior Officer, SBP BSC Peshawar).
From the University of Malakand, Mr. Maqsood Mazhar (Manager ORIC) and Mr. Fazli Subhan (Manager BIC) and a large number of students and faculty members from Management Sciences and Economics departments attended the session.
Souvenirs were presented to the distinguished guests as a token of appreciation.
