Peshawar: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information, Shafi Jan, has said that the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, is fully committed to promoting cooperation with China at all levels. He said that in sectors such as infrastructure, education, technology, and industrial development, the government is making concerted efforts to benefit from China’s experience and resources for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He expressed these views while addressing a certificate distribution ceremony at China Window, the Chinese cultural center established in Peshawar, for students who successfully completed a digital media course. Shafi Jan stated that Pak-China friendship is an example for the world, rooted in the fact that both countries have always supported each other in difficult times. He added that China has consistently played a positive role in strengthening Pakistan’s economic and financial stability.
The Special Assistant stressed the need to accelerate work on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects to further boost economic activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Highlighting the provincial government’s development policies and good governance initiatives, particularly under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, he said these measures are ensuring improved public services, increased employment opportunities, and access to modern education. He expressed confidence that sustainable progress in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can only be achieved through education and skill development of the youth.

Appreciating the role of China Window, Shafi Jan said the institution has made valuable contributions toward promoting Pak-China friendship and strengthening cultural ties. He noted that the center is effectively introducing Chinese culture, history, and modern development while playing an important role in enhancing bilateral relations.
Congratulating the students who completed the digital media course, he said that in the present era, digital media has gained immense importance. He added that acquiring digital skills enables youth to establish their identity at both national and international levels, and it is a matter of pride for the government to provide such opportunities in modern technology, media, and information sectors.
Earlier, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information, Shafi Jan, distributed certificates among the students on behalf of the National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training (NAVTTC).
