Azlan Zahid Leads PMDC to Cricket Glory

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Model Degree College (PMDC) celebrated a memorable sporting achievement as its cricket team emerged victorious in the final match, marking a proud moment for students, faculty, and sports enthusiasts alike. The triumph highlighted the college’s continued commitment to promoting sports alongside academic excellence.

At the concluding ceremony, PMDC cricket team captain Azlan Zahid was presented with the championship trophy by Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Tashfeen Sahib. The DG Sports congratulated the winning team on their remarkable performance throughout the tournament and praised their discipline, teamwork, and dedication on the field. He emphasized that such competitive events play a vital role in identifying and polishing young talent at the grassroots level.

PCB Level-II Coach and coach at the Directorate General Sports Hayatabad Cricket Academy Peshawar, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed, was also present on the occasion. He commended the players for their technical skills and sportsmanship, noting that regular tournaments provide invaluable exposure and confidence to emerging cricketers. He encouraged the students to remain focused, work hard, and pursue excellence in both sports and education.
