UPPER DIR: The 18th death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Benazir Bhutto, was observed with reverence in Dir city and other areas of Upper Dir.
The ceremony was held in *Dir, Wadi, Brawal, and Sheringal, led by Arifullah, District President of PPP Upper Dir. A large gathering of party workers attended the central event at Sherqi Road, Dir Bazar.Speakers, including Arifullah, Israr Yousafzai, and Javed Iqbal (Advocate), highlighted Benazir Bhutto’s sacrifices for democracy and the people. They emphasized that PPP’s struggle against oppression will continue, and Bilawal Bhutto will be the future Prime Minister. Arifullah said that credit goes to PPP for major projects in Dir, including the university, colleges, electricity, and roads, affirming the people’s unwavering support for the party.
