Indiscriminate crackdown planned to protect rivers and save lives: Saif

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has said that the Chief Minister has taken strict notice of constructions on waterways and has ordered preparations for a grand operation against encroachments. He stated that a ruthless operation will be launched against encroachments, as illegal constructions on waterways are causing loss of human lives. Strict action will also be taken against encroachments along riverbanks, and full implementation of the River Protection Act will be ensured. He said that in view of climate change, the removal of encroachments from waterways and riverbanks has become unavoidable
