Afghan Television Honors International Pashto Society President Muhammad Abid Khan with Special Award

Afghan Television has conferred a special award on renowned writer, poet, and Central President of the International Pashto Society, Muhammad Abid Khan, during its annual program, in recognition of his outstanding literary, cultural, and national services.

Muhammad Abid Khan belongs to a well-known scholarly, political, and cultural family of Swabi. He began his literary and intellectual journey nearly two decades ago. During his higher education at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, he, along with his literary and cultural companions, laid the foundation of the International Pashto Society. Since then, he has remained actively engaged in serving the Pashto language, Pashtun nation, and national heroes.

Today, the International Pashto Society has reached a stage where it has representatives across the world who are actively promoting the society’s message and manifesto at international levels. Recently, under the banner of the International Pashto Society, Muhammad Abid Khan launched a special initiative titled the “Fakhr-e-Afghan Award” aimed at encouraging and honoring national heroes, including artists, political leaders, and other prominent national figures, to keep their contributions alive for future generations.

Along with his central cabinet, Muhammad Abid Khan continues these efforts for the sacred objectives of national awakening and unity, fostering values of loyalty to the nation, collective harmony, and selfless love for the homeland among coming generations.

Afghan Television, acknowledging these continuous and dedicated services, awarded Muhammad Abid Khan a special honor, which was widely appreciated by literary, cultural, and social circles.
