Young women leaders summit in wave of 16 days activism against gender based violence was organized by Vibrant Perspective in Governor Cottage Parachinar District Kurram Upper. The event was sponsored by Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pukhtunkhwa in light of their vision of youth empowerment. The event was comprised of learning sessions regarding gender based violence, women rights, women education. female political participation, Gender roles, women empowerment and the role of females in community development. Trainers emphasized the role of women for a better and empowered communty and women has a big share in population and their collaboration with men in society is the only way forward to development. The participants were empowered woth the skills to communicate the learned messages ine larger community as most of them were educated youth. Directorate of Youth Affairs contribute alot to sponsor this type of events for females because they are considered margenalized in the earstwhile FATA. The trainers applauded the support of youth affairs department and viewd that their role is incredible in provision of opportunities for youth. The participants spend a learning day in sessions as well as in groupwork activities. They thanked the organizers and sponsor organization i.e., youth affairs department for such a great opportunity for them.
