District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship Concludes

PESHAWAR: The District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship concluded with thrilling final bouts and outstanding performances, as the closing ceremony witnessed intense competition and emotional moments on the final day. The event highlighted the growing strength of women’s taekwondo in the district and provided a vibrant platform for young female athletes to showcase their skill, discipline, and determination.

The final matches were marked by high intensity and competitive spirit, with finalists fighting hard for gold medals and earning applause from spectators and officials. A total of six teams participated in the championship, reflecting the increasing popularity of ITF Taekwondo among female athletes in Peshawar.

The HSC Warrior Girls Team emerged as overall champions by securing first position with three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. Shining Stars Martial Arts Academy claimed second position with three gold and one silver medal, while Queen Cobras Peshawar B Team secured third position after strong performances throughout the event.

Medals, trophies, cash prizes, certificates, and gifts were distributed among the winning athletes during the closing ceremony. The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Rana Sadaqat, President of the All Pakistan International Taekwondo Federation. Other prominent guests included Grand Master Rahimullah Habibi, Master Mujeeb ur Rehman, Dr. Usman Amin, President KP ITF Association Umer Khitab, General Secretary KP ITF Association Ajmal Khan, Chairman KP ITF Naveed Habibi, and Jaffar Chohan, who collectively appreciated and encouraged the athletes.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizers stated that the championship aimed to promote ITF Taekwondo at the grassroots level and empower female athletes by providing them with competitive exposure and recognition. They expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the event and the enthusiastic participation of teams.

The District Peshawar Female Open ITF Taekwondo Championship concluded successfully, fostering optimism for the continued growth of women’s martial arts in the region.
