A high-level delegation of the Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) paid an official visit to the Landi Kotal Press Club, where the delegation congratulated the newly elected cabinet and held detailed discussions on professional journalistic matters. The delegation was led by TUJ President Hisbanullah and included General Secretary Muhammad Jameel, Finance Secretary Dildar Hussain, and Press Secretary Anwarzada Gulyar.
During the visit, a cordial yet serious meeting was held between the TUJ delegation and the office-bearers and members of the Landi Kotal Press Club. The discussions focused on challenges faced by journalists in the tribal districts, journalists’ rights, institutional strengthening, and the need for unity within the journalistic community. On the occasion, the TUJ delegation extended best wishes to the newly elected cabinet of the Landi Kotal Press Club and expressed hope that the new leadership would play an effective role in addressing journalists’ issues and strengthening the institution.
The meeting also featured an open and candid discussion on long-standing differences among members of the Landi Kotal Press Club. Acting as mediators, the TUJ delegation listened attentively to the viewpoints of all parties and emphasized a peaceful and dignified resolution of the disputes. In this regard, a significant and positive development emerged, raising hopes that the internal differences within the press club would soon be resolved, enabling all journalists to work together on a single platform.
The delegation reaffirmed its commitment that the Tribal Union of Journalists would continue to cooperate with all press clubs and journalists across the tribal districts and would play a proactive role in resolving issues faced by the journalistic community wherever they arise. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed a shared commitment to mutual cooperation, solidarity, and the promotion of professional journalistic values.
