Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association has officially announced its comprehensive competition calendar for the year 2026, featuring 22 major events along with multiple training camps and developmental tournaments across various age groups.
Provincial Squash Association Chairman and squash legend Qamar Zaman, along with President Daud Khan, stated that the association remains committed to promoting squash at grassroots and elite levels. They said the first event of the year will be the KP Junior Squash Championship in Peshawar, followed by the All Pakistan National Men’s Squash Championship, scheduled from January 15 to 20 at the Qamar Zaman Squash Complex, Peshawar Stadium.
The National Men’s Championship will feature 64 players from across the country, including 32 players in the qualifying round and 32 in the main draw. Provincial Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif has been invited as the chief guest to inaugurate the event. The prize money for this championship is Rs 100,000.
Among other major events, the Qamar Zaman All Pakistan Junior Squash Championship will be held from February 9 to 13, featuring boys from under-11 to under-19 and girls from under-15 and under-19 categories, with prize money of Rs 700,000.
A Ramadan Training Camp for boys under-7 and girls under-9 and under-11 will be organized in March, followed by league matches with prize money of Rs 100,000. Several All Pakistan National Junior Championships for boys and girls in different age categories will be held throughout the year from April to December, each carrying prize money ranging between Rs 100,000 and Rs 200,000.
The calendar also includes major provincial events such as KP Junior Squash Championships, Inter-School Boys and Girls Championships, KP Men’s and Women’s Senior Squash Championships, and the KP Inter-District Under-21 Boys Championship, all to be held in Peshawar.
The association reiterated its resolve to strengthen squash in the province by providing competitive opportunities, structured training, and financial incentives to emerging talent throughout the year.
