UPPER DIR: In the direction of Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Naveed Akbar, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Dir Noman Hafeez inspected Mina Khwar and Lowari Tunnel.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner conducted a detailed inspection of the Dir-Lowari Tunnel road at Mina Khwar, Due to heavy snowfall and temperatures dropping below freezing point, ice has formed at Mina Khwar unconstructed bridge turning the area into a death trap. Many vehicles slip and become accident prone, while large trucks often get stuck, causing traffic to remain suspended for hours.
After reviewing the situation, the Assistant Commissioner issued immediate instructions to the relevent department
Lay shingle/gravel on the unpaved section at Mina Khurd immediately to prevent any harm to citizens due to ice.
He emphasized Protecting the lives and property of all citizens is our top most priority.
