Afghan Soil Being Used for Terrorism Against Pakistan: Former CM Ali Amin Gandapur

Times Report

PESHAWAR: Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has said that clear documentary evidence exists proving that Afghan soil is being used for terrorist activities against Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ali Amin Gandapur stated that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is carrying out terrorist attacks against Pakistan from Afghan territory, adding that these activities are taking place with the knowledge and support of the Afghan authorities and the Afghan Taliban. He said that both the provincial and federal governments are fully aware of these facts and possess solid evidence confirming that TTP militants are operating from across the border.

He said that several terrorist incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa involved Afghan nationals, while some suicide bombers killed in attacks were either Afghan citizens or linked with the TTP. He added that these facts are supported by official records and documentary evidence.

The former chief minister also acknowledged that the federal government had made efforts to restore peace through negotiations and said that the results of those efforts are now coming to light.

Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized that Pakistan should maintain good relations with all countries, including Afghanistan, but stressed that Pakistan’s sovereignty, stability and national security must remain the top priority. He asserted that no compromise could be made on the country’s security and territorial integrity.
